Reply:These are the uncommon boy names I like and why:

Gavino (Hispanic form of Gavin. Only encountered one person with that name, and he was very cool)

Stacy (traditionally a male's name, and the last two Stacy's that I've met have been male...one was a teacher I substituted for on Wednesday, the other was a boy in a 5th grade class)

Dante (My brother's middle name/would've been my first name had I been a boy. It was also my great uncle's name, who immigrated from Italy)

Denver (This is a cool name to me because I hear a lot of Denver and the Mile High Orchestra on the Christian radio station this time of the year. Anyone know if they do anything other than Christmas stuff? Anyway, the story I heard in an interview w/him was that his parents were reading a baby name book and came across "Denver" and joked about "who would name their kid Denver? and proceeded to start referring to him as an unborn child as Denver, and wrote it on the birth certificate when he came out. )

When I was pregnant with my son I could only think of girls names but we decided on Gabriel Alexander. This time again we still don't know the gender yet and have been having trouble picking our boys names. We had picked out Jordyn Mackenzie-Lynn if it was a girl and Jackson Lawrence if it was a boy. Then I had to consider because I had such a big baby belly so early, was I having twins so we picked out a second set of names. We never figured out a 2nd boy's first name but wanted to use Thomas for a middle name and for some reason I really like the name Evelyn for a girl, but for our 2nd girls name since my sister-in-law named her daughter Mckenzie in July we changed our girl name choice to Charlotte Francis and if we had 2 girls they would have been Charlotte Francis and Evelyn Mackenzie. My 3 year old has said all along that he wants a sister, so if he is right about this too I should be meeting Charlotte the beginning of May. If he is wrong, Gabe is going to walk around calling his little brother Charlotte for a while. lol

I am not sure why he is so set on having a little sister.

Does anyone know of a website with a good list of middle names for boys and girls?

I would really like a middle name that goes with Owen and Lorelei.

Reply:NO.
Reply:Try looking on websites that have good first names for boys and girls, and then find a good one and make it the middle name. No websites will specifically list good "middle" names. Just names.
Reply:there would probably not be a web site for middle names, because middle names are just a second first name.Look for a baby name site and say the two names together to see how they sound to you. Like my daughters name is Breanna Renee, and my son is Izaiah Joseph. names are important. Breanna means strong, i named her this because she has a heart defect, shes had no problems, and Isaiah(though i spell it different) means salvation of GOD, because he was my saving salvation.

there are many names on this sight . just scrole down a bit to the names and copy and past . its easy. http://www.namenerds.com/uucn/advice/mid...

My favorite names of all times Zachary ethan for a boy or samantha alyssa for a girl

What are some good names that fit both boys and girls?

I'm writing a story and for a particular character, I kind of like the idea of giving him a unisex name. There's just something about it. What are unisex names you can come up with? Give me a good list.

What are some good names that fit both boys and girls?
Kaycee (or spelled differently)
Reply:I don't really like unisex names to be honest. I wouldn't want my child questioning why I named him a girl name or vise versa. But if your going with a guys name I would say:

1. Jordan - That to me could go both ways

2. Alex - Could be Alexander or Alexandria. I've heard boys and girls being called Alex.

3. Arien

4. Aaron - Girls usually spell it Erin

5. Dallas - I've heard it as a girl believe it or not

6. Hunter - Had a girl named this at my work

I think I would use Jordan though. =]

Reply:It's very difficult to come up with a truly unique name - one that's never been worn by another human being, ever. Your best bet is probably something *very* uncommon.

It's important to note that unusual names are more common than ever before. With every decade, fewer kids receive a Top Ten baby name. (I'm talking about the US - I'm not sure if this holds true globally.) So even a name that ranks, say, #300 or #500 in the US Top 1000 might be uncommon enough to suit you.

But I'll limit my list to ones that don't make the US Top 1000.

Reply:Mallory is a SURNAME (means fool) that is trendy to use for a first name for little girls. Like Madison, Wheeler, Walker, Bailey and Taylor and Bennett.

What do you mean go with Mallory? Do you have a Mallory already? You do not have to match names. Are you having twins? Don't do matchy-matchy. Too corney.

Name each unique child a unique name-not a goofy name.

Try Trevor or Charles or Grayden. Old fashioned names.

Dieter? Hogan? (Surnames that are still fairly masculine.)

William an old old name. James, too.

What are some really nice Arabic names for boys and girls?

Girls: Laila, Aisha, Anisa, Alia, Azana, Amira, Hawa (Eve), Jamila, Jihan, Zahra

Boys: Malik, Ali, Nasir, Karim, Hassan, Jamil, Javen, Amil, Ahmad

If you want to look at more names and their meanings, go to www.babynames.com and do a search for all Arabic names.

BTW - don't listen to this whole "give your baby a Christian name so he can get ahead" thing - maybe your lovely baby doesn't want to end up in some horrible academic institution or job that discriminates against people with Arabic names. I'm not Muslim, but I really can't stand this whole discrimination over religion and race thing. Arabic names are lovely (if I have a baby girl I'm going to name her Laila), hope you find a nice one too

What are some really nice Arabic names for boys and girls?
Psychology Today published a study that surveyed over 500 Human Resource managers and over 150 college admissions counselors at competitive admission universities. The results showed that a person’s first name was a large factor in determining whether or not a person made it past the initial screening process for hiring or admission. People with odd or unusual or exotic names were more likely to be rejected while people with certain names – which Psychology Today termed “power names” – were more likely to pass the initial screening. Here are the top ten “power names” as rated by Psychology Today.

Plus, giving a child an Arabic name in this day and age may further open him up to prejudice and limit his opportunities - good or bad, that's reality.

Twin boys names Cayden Jace and Tanner Bryce. What do think?

Horribly trendy names, sorry don't like them at all.

Twin boys names Cayden Jace and Tanner Bryce. What do think?
Cayden could sound like a girl's name and it doesn't seem to go that well with the middle name picked out. Tanner is better than the other one. But, it's WHAT YOU LIKE that matters.
Reply:Cayden Jace sounds weird...i like Tanner Bryce though...i think Hayden Jace would sound better...but hey Cayden is a unique name also Jace... =] hope I helped!
Reply:too feminine
Reply:I love the first names - so cute! However, instead of Jace maybe something a bit more traditional would be better. I like how it sounds, but it's just a bit of an odd name. If you do choose it, that's perfectly fine though. The only other thing is that the middle names both have the same -c sound. Since they are twins you might be going for that similarity, but if not, I just wanted to point that out.

I assume you are expecting - congratulations and may you all be healthy and happy!
Reply:They will hate you for it when they get older.
Reply:Nice Names.
Reply:I think boy names with a "Y" in them look a bit girlish. Caden and Tanner are both cute names, however, they are both overused in the area I'm in. I think they are perfect, especially if it's what you love!
Reply:Don't give your kids stupid names. That's what I think.

And before you decide on anything, really sit down and think about what you're doing to the kid because little kids in school (and just about everyone on the internet) are very mean and rude. If there is a way to make fun of your kid, they will find it, and this is not good for your child, so do the child a favor by not selecting such outrageous names.

If you do, you can bet your kid is going to come home from school crying A LOT.
Reply:excellent choices
Reply:I have to agree with the people who said they are too trendy. Everyone is picking names like Cayden, Brayden, Hayden, Jayden.... see the pattern? Another name that is getting way over used is Logan (which is a shame because I actually do like that name).
Reply:sounds very original. did you go through the baby name book and try to find two names that have never been used. Cayden dont you mean GAYden. That is the kinda crap hell get either in elementry school or from his frat buddies.
Reply:They're okay.

There are so many Cayden/Aiden/Jayden/Braeden/Haydens out there right now that, even if *exactly* Cayden isn't one of the Top 10 names, it feels like it is the monolithic name of 2007.

It doesn't make it a bad name, but I would hesitate to use it.
Reply:I think its really original, not a lot of people with those names, they are perfect :) . I personally love the name "Tanner" .
Reply:Too trendy/popular for my taste, to be honest, but if you love them I'd suggest a very slight tweak: stick with the proper Caden spelling and swap the middle names (since Caden and Jace begin with very similar KAY and JAY sounds, so come across as rather repetitive).

While just as common and predictable, Caden Bryce and Tanner Jace at least look and sound a bit better. Just a thought. ;)
Reply:both first names arre nice and they sound good together...
Reply:They sound great. Its just Tanner kinda sounds like Nanner (as my nephew calls bananas) and therefore makes me think Banana.

Sorry.

--Kadee
Reply:Disgustingly bad!

I apologize for being so blunt, but I feel I have the opportunity to stop something bad from happening. Your twins will be judged for their entire life partially on the basis of their name. You owe it to them not to pick stupid "trendy names". Give them some class! Plus, having the names sound similar isn't cute - it robs your kids of individuality and creative expression.
Reply:Mm...Too much like male names out of Harlequin romance novels.. I do like Bryce, though.
Reply:im not a fan of cayden jace, cayden sounds like a girls name and jace i dont know what that is what about christopher leigh or brodie or jacob, oh well its your choice ")
Reply:If you mixed it up a bit, I like the name Tanner Jace
Reply:they sorta sound the same like with diff. first letters
Reply:love them! those names go well together
Reply:I don't think I'd do Cayden, to be honest. Of all the -den names out there, I think it's one of the more feminine ones lol (though it might just be me since I know a little girl named Caden, nicknamed Cady). Same goes for Jace - that's what I call my girl cousin named Jacinda lol.

What about making Jace into Jason? Very masculine, strong name that would be great as a nickname. The only problem with it though is that you're probably going to have to drop the -den name - otherwise, the -en sounds clash. Or if you wanted to keep a -den name, what about Hayden, or Braden nicknamed Brady? You could also try Brody - Brody Jason would be awesome lol.

On Tanner Bryce, I love it! Obviously, it's a really masculine name that won't ever 'jump ship', like names like Kelly and Leslie have done. On a side note, I've also recently begun loving the name Taggart, nickname Tag, which kind of reminded me of Tanner.

Hope that helped, good luck and congrats!
Reply:My sister wants to name her next son aiden or cayden...

But her husband said kids will call him "Gayden"

I love the first name choices though.

I just think Jace is a little weird, and Bryce is better with an "i"
Reply:Dont like it.

Nicholas James and Anthony Bryce
Reply:Cute.
Reply:Tanner Bryce is alright.

but I dont like Cayden.

I like Brayden Jace.

:)
Reply:i don't really like either of them, especially Tanner..

a tanner? like a person who goes tanning a lot?

he will get made fun of.

I like Cadence for a girl but Cayden just doesn't sound right, especially with Jace... Jace? that is so wierd.

Bryce should stay as a middle name. That is a nice name.

Ultimately it is your deciison because you are the parent... but how about...

Colton Jay/Caydon Jay/Caleb James? (somewhat similar to Cayden Jace... or atleast change the Jace to Jay or Jason)

Tanner has got to go... did you like Full House as a child?

Hayden James/Hayden Jay also sounds nice.
Reply:i like it a lot ;)
Reply:I like them both they rhyme yet each one is unique

for a girl: Hiba, which means a gift from God in Arabic
Reply:I think it depends on the LAST name...no matter how unique the first name gets. Last names that have more than one syllable can be tricky and hard on the kids to grow up with long first names. Often, trying to find a "unique name" is so overdone, it gives that person a challenge to s p e l l it out for all future paperwork and applications. I think some of the movie stars in this day %26amp; age have gone wacky. I don't think I'd ever name my kid "Apple" .... especially if my last name was Pye...and it's not!

Sometimes, going with biblical names is nice, therefore hoping your kid turns out to be a saint! Have you considered using a family last name as a first name?

for example: Carter (Jones) After Grandpa Jimmy Carter! Ha Ha

So many to pick from! Simple spelling for the child and his/her future is nice. Also consider the ethnic names. For example; If you're Italian, Dominic for a boy, Gina for a girl. Best of luck...it's always such a tough decision.
