What are some good baby names for girls AND boys?
this person is mean:

I think your child deserves something more substantial. Those names don't have a lot of class.

Give your child a name that will grow with them that you really like, instead of worrying about conforming to some set of self-imposed "rules" about the name length and what letter it must start with.

EDIT: "the kids love their names just fine and how do iknow? im one of them!"

I guess none of you have tried applying to grad schools or any high-powered jobs yet.

how rude! i like those names. and unique names are making a comeback. im sorry if youre old fashioned.

oh and i think these names have LOTS of class. :D
Reply:Most of the names you've picked really have no class to them at all, like the first answer stated. There aren't many names with your specification, but there are quite a few that fly quite a bit above Jayln (jailin'? Seriously?) and Jaeik (Jake?).

For boys: Javin is Sanskrit and means "hurricane", which is kind of cute for a boy. :D Jager is a strong German name. Javed (like David) is a nice Persian name.

Then for girls, there is Jolie, which is French for "pretty" and other Sanskrit one, Josya (JOSH-yuh). It means "delightful" which is cute.

Sorry about the little selection. There isn't much to work with. D: But I hope you like one.

No offense, but just because you and the other girls in your school might think that "unique" names are "kewl," I can assure you that choosing a name that is too made-up or "unique" can be a serious detriment to your child later in life. There have been numerous studies done that look at the effect a person's name has on the likelihood that they will get called for a job interview.

I don't think it's "old fashioned" to want to bestow names upon your children that will be beneficial to their pursuit of success in the future, as opposed to saddling them with names that might be a hindrance.
