i absolutly LOVE the name brooklyn!! its one of my favorite names! i think its cute for a girl as well as a boy. If it was a girl, you could call her Brook for short...

Reply:Everyone woman I have known who had the name Brooklyn is constantly being asked "are you from Brooklyn?" and usually the answer is no, then an awkward silence. Brooklyn is an awkward name that invites the same question over and over again. The name Brooke or Lynn is fine IMHO.
