Have a daughter called Poppy Hermione and want recommendations for a name to 'go with it' - not sure if it's a boy or a girl yet - due in March. Potentially English names but not necessarily...So far my favorites are:

Reply:I love the name Poppy (reminds me of a beautiful Aussie actress Poppy Montgomery who has sisters named Marigold Sun, Lily Belle, Daisy Yellow and Rosie Thorn). I'm not loving Jemima Imogen. The name reminds me of Aunt Jemima -- the pancake syrup. Imogen sounds like a chemistry term.
Reply:Benjamin Lloyd is fine and I love Imogen. Not so crazy about Jemima - Jemma sounds a whole lot better, is prettier, and its only 2 syllables in keeping with something to go with Poppy.
Reply:How sweet! ;)
I love all the names you're currently considering, though I might pair Jemima and Imogen with other names (keeping both, however -- I adore them! -- as a combo it would just be too much J and M sound for me, personally).
I'd avoid any overly-matchy floral names for a first name (Poppy and Daisy or Magnolia, for instance, seems like overkill and doesn't allow them to stand on their own quite as nicely). Except possibly Flora. Poppy and Flora might be doable. ;) You might also consider some mythological first names ... along the same lines as Hermione.
Daphne
Alethea
Antigone
Calliope
Chloris
Some others I find appealing with Poppy ...
Matilda
Maude
Clementine
Isla - IE-la ... but I'm sure you knew that ;)
Niamh - NEEV ... ditto above LOL
Ruby
Millicent
Alice
Gemma - though with Jemima already on the list (love seeing it considered!), I'd simply use Jemma as a nickname
Freya
Eloise
Eleanor/Nora(h)
Nola
Lola
Gwyneth
Harriet
Talulla or Tallulah (different origins, though I believe the Irish root it most often assumed in the UK ... not as familiar in the states, unfortunately)
Scarlett
Moira
Maura
Harper
Really, similarly spunky girl names are easy (and fun)! ;) For the boys', perhaps something along the lines of ...
Simon
Harvey
Milo
Oliver
Oscar
George
Ewan/Euan
Ellis
Lennox
Leo
Rhys
Sebastian
Desmond
Cillian
Findlay/Finley
Hope that helps! ;)
Reply:How about Gareth for a boy?
I think Imogen goes well with Poppy as well as Jemima
Reply:Well for a girl I always liked Willow Grace, and for a boy Gunther Adams.
I hope i helped.
Reply:I thought I was a little off for wanting to name my future daughter Arwyn! You just knocked me out of the box lol i'm kidding. Those names are definitely unique, don't know if I would name my kids one of them except maybe Benjamin but hey it's your choice. Please don't name your daughter Jemima I'm sorry but when I hear that I just makes me think of pancakes lol.
Starlette Sky--girl
Braydyn Christopher--boy
Reply:I love your names!!! My name is Autumn Rose, I think it would go greatly!!
