Why do people insist on naming boys with sissy names?

Newsflash: THEY GROW UP.

These names follow them around for LIFE. So remember that when your son is in school he is being picked on for having a sissy name like Brayden, Caden or Tailor. Sissy @$$ names!!!

Why do people insist on naming boys with sissy names?
I agree. There are boys in my daughter's class called Jude and Jaiden, and a few Brayden and Rio's where i live.

Whatever happened to naming children according to their sex?

There is a girl called Ronnie in my son's class.

And (no BS) there is a child (boy) called Tiger at my daughter's nursery too.

I despair!!
Reply:People can name their childen whatever they want
Reply:I agree. I look for masculine names when I consider boys names. I do think we interpret names depending on who a person is though. In other words a name can go either way depending on whether the person is tough or not. However, if the kid does end up to be a sissy with a sissy name, than he is a glutton for punishment for most of his school life. A different name may not change the kid, but it becomes a definite factor when being teased.

Same goes for a little girl. If she is not 100% feminine and does have a bit of a boyish look with a boyish name than she is also set up to be teased. We all like to picture our kids as perfect and absolutely adorable, but it doesn't always happen that way. We all went to school, we know how it really is.
Reply:I met a guy named Fanny......like wtf?

I don't like Taylor either......I am SICK of that name!!!!!!!!
Reply:Some Names Are Unisex, that means they are for girs n boys and i would call people ssissies just bcoz ov thier names beacuse i have an asian indian friend, shes a girl, And he name is Jeevan and then someone said to her you have a boys name. She said how can life mean a boy so this means life means life not girl or boy. So basically shes saying jeevan just means life how can mean a boy shes a girl called jeevan/life so shes like I THINK YOU GET THE POINT. lol it was jokz but i agree with Jeevan Hope you get the point...Reading this is worth it.. Tc xx
Reply:i agree. Brayden makes me think of braiding my hair. i think i'll go do that now. lol =P
Reply:Why do ppl name girls boy names?! ... Its what they want. and its not the parents fault that kids are mean. Plus the only bad name outta those three is Tailor.
Reply:People are in dreamland.
Reply:I agree 100%. I also hate made up names that make no sense. If you are going to name your kid something, make sure that it's an actual name. I mean... come on... think about the kid. The parent may want a unique name but... think about the kids future.
Reply:I like them.

They're not "sissy" names as, one, you wouldn't call a girl any of those names appart from Taylor and, two, Caden means spirit of battle, Braydon means broad of hillside, Taylor means a tailor.

None of those meaning seem femenine to me.

I know everyone has opinions so I am just saying.

Hope I helped!
Reply:That and why do people give girls boy names!?

If I meet a girl Logan, I think I'd puke.....

I totally agree with you though
Reply:I don't think those names are sissy. Neither is Robin. At the end of the day, it is who you are, not what your name is.
Reply:I heard about this japanese family calling there son "@." How stupid is that?
Reply:My brother in laws name is Caden and he's a kick box instructor.....don't think he's a sissy.
Reply:Have you ever heard Johnny Cash's song "A Boy Named Sue"? You should check it out....funny stuff.
Reply:I agree, but when they grow up, maybe that name won't be sissy. Oh, whatever:(

It's alright to give your daughter a masculin name. My sister's name is Aidyn. It's pretty and I'm sure she'll love it! I know many Aidyn girls.
